These dogs are Mountain Curs, a medium-sized hunting and home dog. Very tractable, smart and athletic, protective and alert. They are registered with the United Mountain Cur Association. The mother, Sandy, is O.M.C.B.A., and the Sire, Bud, is a Kemmer Stock Cur. We all love them, both the breed and the individuals, of course :)

Boys and Dogs
If you remember, when we moved to Montana, we moved with a litter of puppies that were just a couple days old. The boys each kept one. Nash kept a brindle male he named "Tug". Ben kept a red male he named "Cap Rountree", or "Cap" for short. He also goes by "Happy Cappy" and "Capper Shnapper". Here are a few photos :)
